Park Memorials and Donations
The City of Newcastle provides opportunities for the community to make financial donations within the park system and other city owned property. Donations can be made towards the purchase of new, or refurbishment of existing park benches, tables, public art, plants and trees. Donations can be made to commemorate a loved one, to celebrate an event, or simply as a way to give back to the community.
How To Apply
Anyone wishing to make a donation must first complete the Donation and Memorials Application. The application will be reviewed by the public works staff, who may also consider recommendations from the Public Works Director, and the Community Activities Commission for the proposed donation and subsequent Donation Agreement. If the proposed donation has significant policy or fiscal impacts, the City Manager will make a recommendation to the City Council for a final decision.
