Power has been restored to the majority of customers in the remaining outage areas. Approximately 240 customers are still without power in two locations - one along Lake Washington Blvd and another shared with Renton on the west end of SE May Creek Park Dr. Puget Sound Energy (PSE) has not provided specific restoration details but reports that all King County customers are expected to have power by the end of the day.
REMINDER: While storm cleanup has concluded on SE May Creek Park Dr, the road remains fully closed in both directions between the roundabout and 129th Ave SE due to construction. However, school buses and residents within the closure area now have local access again.

As of this morning, Puget Sound Energy (PSE) reports that restoration work continues following this weekend’s storm. About 600 customers in the south and southeast areas of Newcastle remain without power. PSE reports that crews are on site and working to complete repairs and estimates that all remaining King County customers still without power should have service restored by the end of the day today. SE May Creek Park Drive remains closed in both directions near Eden Church due to storm response. Please avoid the area.

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) reports that approximately two-thirds of Newcastle customers who lost power overnight have now been restored. The primary remaining outage, affecting about 1,000 customers, is located in the area south of Lake Boren Park. PSE has a crew onsite actively working on repairs and restoration.
SE May Creek Park Drive remains closed in both directions near Eden Church due to storm-related response and cleanup. Please avoid the area and follow posted detours.

Much of Newcastle experienced a power outage overnight. According to Puget Sound Energy (PSE), our community was hit harder than most other areas in King County, with outages affecting most of the city.
PSE crews began assessing damage this morning and are focusing on transmission line repairs. At this time, there is no estimated restoration timeline available.
Most Newcastle businesses have power and are open.
SE May Creek Park Drive is closed in both directions just west of SE 129th Ave SE near Eden Church due to downed power lines. Crews are onsite, but please avoid this area.
Traffic lights are out on Coal Creek Parkway between Newcastle Way and SE May Valley Road. A reminder to treat these intersections as four-way stops.
