About the Project
The City of Newcastle is re-evaluating the master plan for the Park at 95th, a 32-acre property located at SE 95th Way. Originally master-planned in 2009, this park was envisioned as a major community recreation destination with playfields, trails, and gathering spaces.

The plan was never built due to economic conditions, but the site remains one of the few large, city-owned parcels suitable for a future park. In 2025, the City began revisiting this vision to confirm whether the plan still reflects the community’s needs and priorities today.
Where We Are Now
Current Phase: Community Outreach & Visioning (Fall/Winter 2025)
We’re asking residents, community groups, and nearby neighbors to share what they want to see in the Park at 95th and what local jurisdictions experiences have been with parks of similar size and purpose. Your input will help us understand if the original plan still fits Newcastle’s priorities—or if the community’s needs have evolved.
