NEWCASTLE POLICE
DEPARTMENT PRESENTS:
Civilian Response to Active Shooter
Events (CRASE)
Law enforcement officers and agencies are frequently requested by schools,
businesses, and community members for direction and presentations on what
they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. The Civilian Response
to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course provides strategies, guidance, and a plan
for surviving an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of
active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and
considerations for conducting drills.
This training opportunity is open to any business, HOA, or
other groups with priority given to those who live or
work in Newcastle.
If interested please email Deputy Matt Treadway –
[email protected] – for more
information and to set up a training session. Sessions
typically take about two hours and can come to you or be
hosted at Newcastle PD, depending on the size of group and
space availability.
