Come see the Newcastle Police Department in the Battle of the Badges Holiday Lights competition. This FREE drive-through event takes place on Friday, December 8 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Renton Community Center parking lot.
What is Battle of the Badges? Public safety personnel from across the region get creative by decorating a vehicle or a 10'x10' canopy in their chosen holiday theme. Visitors vote for their favorite display based on the use of lights, overall design, and holiday spirit. Battle of the Badges is also a food drive; please consider bringing non-perishable food items to support local food banks.
The Newcastle PD display is a collaborative effort of Regency Newcastle and local Cub Scouts, who crafted the decorations, and volunteer community members who will be playing characters in the scene.
