In 1974, the journey to incorporate Newcastle began, culminating in its official founding in 1994. This year, we celebrate the City of Newcastle's 30th anniversary.

Creating a city takes a lot of effort; fostering and maintaining a sense of community requires even greater effort and commitment. Many people have contributed to Newcastle's journey along the way. As part of our 30th anniversary celebration, the City of Newcastle Community Activities Commission will honor some of our incredible community contributors. Their service to our city has made an enduring impact, helping to make Newcastle the special, wondrous little corner of King County we proudly call home.

These individuals are active participants in our community. They are willing to contribute their talents and knowledge in ways that improve the world around them. They are respectful, inclusive, and demonstrate a strong sense of civic identity.
