12/30 UPDATE: Weather continues to be treacherous for drivers throughout the region, due to snow and ice on the roadways. Waste Management will not operate any collection trucks today, Thursday December 30th. This may affect some Newcastle commercial customers and does not affect residential customers. Waste Management will be placing calls to all affected customers.
Previous Service Days:
Waste Management has canceled all City of Newcastle services for Monday, December 27 through Tuesday, December 28, due to the winter storm. Additionally, there will be no residential services Wednesday, December 29.
Waste Management will, however, be focused on servicing essential garbage customers like hospitals, nursing homes, grocery stores, restaurants, day care, etc. on Wednesday the 29th for roll-off customers and frontload customers (1-yard through 8-yard containers) in all areas.
Waste Management will be placing automated phone calls to all affected customers with additional information. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday customers will be serviced double on their next scheduled day.
